If you don't believe in modern day miracles, one manwouldlike to change your mind.  He claims he was raised from the dead and now wants to minister to others.

It all began with drugs and a life out of control, which lead Richard Madison to what looked like a deadly accident.  In 1998, Richard Madison was pronounced dead on arrival at Vanderbilt Hospital.

Rick Madison says doctors told his family they should make funeral arrangements.  They didn't expect him to live.  But Rick's mother refused and said the family would pray for a miracle.

Rick says, "They gave me 124 units of blood, I got hepatitis yellow jaundice, double pneumonia, swelled up big as a barrel had 17 drain tubes had 400 staples held me together from 9 surgeries, I was considered a vegetable. Had no activity on the lower lobes of my brain."

He had what he calls a very strange life altering and life saving experience.

Rick,  " I had an out of body experience... And Jesus came to me put his hand on my head told me...His name told me he'd raise me up give me one more chance.  He said I want you to tell everyone I still do miracles."

He says immediately he sat up in bed and came out of a 27 day brain dead coma.  Instantly the infection left his body, the swelling went away and he had brain activity. 

Rick says, "I reached for the nurse at the foot of my bed... I wanted to tell her this name Jesus this man I heard speak to me... I couldn't speak I had a trach tube in my mouth that was wired shut. She turned her paper over and I wrote: Is there a church near here?  I wrote down it's got red carpet my mom's there praying for me and I just came from there... Well that really shook her up. "

His mother was in fact in the chapel at the hospital praying for him.  Even though he physically was never there, he described it exactly.  His mother returned to see him sitting up.

Rick's broken neck also healed.  His doctors marveled.
 
RICK. He said you are a living miracle.

Rick wasn't expected to walk.  But again he says a miracle happened.  One day in his home he says he heard the voice of Jesus again say get up and walk.  "You walk by faith not by feelings."
