Birmingham, AL - The Church Of The Highlands has launched the dream center this weekend in Woodlawn.
It's a center that offers everything from counseling, to homework help to medical care.
Tthe newly opened low cost clinic is ministering to the community.
The Christ Health Center opened in march... and already, dr. record has seen hundreds of patients....
like Lee Ann Skylar and Noah.
Megan Brinker is a mother of three. She says, This is more of a blessing for me and my family than anything... I don't have a car to take em down town. "
It's a neighborhood health center... where the idea is to minister to their body and spirit.
Dr. Robert Record, is the clinic's founder. He says, "God called me to medicine at the same time he called me to ministry. We're just ministering among people. Our patients live here not a lot of doctors to choose from.
Sharon Chamberlin lives in the area... and has congestive heart failure. She says, "I was so happy when they opened the center. It really has been a God send."
But it's more than a place to a check up .
Dr. Record says, " They just don't see us at the clinic... they see us at the basketball games....... picking up trash on Saturday.
The clinic is about building healthy individuals and putting em in a healthy community and using that to say how much God loves the world.
