Birmingham - Panzee Drake says she had to react quickly to get out of her apartment Saturday morning.
"We ran out, we ran out. We saw a big ball of fire. Then we realized the apartments were on fire."
She is one of several residents now out of their homes after the Tuscaloosa Avenue fire in Birmingham about 1:30am. The flames tore through occupied and empty units and forced everyone outside.
Witnesses say about five families lived at the apartment complex, and all five now have to find somewhere else to stay.
