Alabama - Cities, counties, and towns have just a few days more to decide if they will offer a sales tax holiday.
Local governments must tell Governor Riley by Monday if they will take part in the annual break from taxes.
The sales tax holiday runs from August 7th until August 9th. During that time there will be no state sales tax on certain items. If cities and counties take part, their portions of the sales tax will be waived as well. The tax holiday is scheduled around back to school times, and most items relate to that. The items include school supplies, clothes, computers, books and textbooks. (

As of Thursday, July 2, dozens had already told the state they will take part. Below is a look at a select look at some in Central Alabama. (
