All candidates who have qualified to run in municipal elections have been invited to appear in forums that will be held for Shelby County residents.
The forums are sponsored by the chambers of commerce for Greater Shelby County, Calera, Montevallo and South Shelby. The Shelby County Reporter is also sponsoring the events.
Mayoral and city council candidates will discuss their platforms, with mayoral candidates also taking part in a question-and-answer session.
The individual forums for each city will be held as follows:
Alabaster: August 11 at Thompson High School, 6:30 p.m.
Chelsea: August 11 at Chelsea High School, 6:30 p.m.
Wilton: August 11 at Montevallo High School, 6:30 p.m.
Montevallo: August 12 at Montevallo High School, 6:30 p.m.
Columbiana: August 12 at Shelby County High School, 6:30 p.m.
Pelham: August 12 at Pelham High School, 6:30 p.m.
Vincent: August 12 at Vincent Middle-High School, 6:30 p.m.
Westover: August 18 at ServPro, 6:30 p.m.
Calera: August 19 at Calera High School, 6:30 p.m.
Wilsonville: August 19 at Wilsonville Town Hall, 6:30 p.m.
