From Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper:
"It's never too late to bring a killer to justice.
And now, we need your help to close the book on a brutal stabbing that happened over 17 years ago. It was just after midnight on November 8, 1990. Investigators found the body of 18-year-old Pamela Denise McAdory in the parking lot of Dorothy Spears Park off of Bankhead Highway.
Her body was partially clothed, and she had been stabbed several times. We also think she may have been sexually assaulted. Investigators believe she was killed in the park.
The suspect never tried to hide her body and may have bragged about the murder. So we are are hoping someone may have seen someone or heard something that night that can help us track down this killer. If you do, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers will never ask your name. And the detectives cannot call you to court to testify because they'll never know who you are. Just dial (205) 254-7777. Or log onto www.birminghamcrimestoppers.org to submit an encrypted tip.
With Crime Stoppers, I'm Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper."
