They're only seven years old, but they're excited to be here. Their parents brought money. Fultondale and Gardendale will benefit from the Babe Ruth League Baseball Championships. Last night was opening ceremonies for what is expected to be a big week in the two cities. 48 teams from all over the Southeast will compete. No word yet on how much money the tournament will bring to Fultondale and Gardendale, but Gardendale Mayor Kenny Clemons says it will have a huge econnominc impact. The adults tell us, they will keep spending as long as their teams keep winning. Some say all the hotels in the area were booked so they had to book rooms in Cullman. The ballgames begin Friday and run throughout the week.
