Officers received the call at 11:43pm and arrived at 11:44pm. When the first officer arrived on the scene, he found the victim, Roderick Hudson, Jr. B/M, of 1350 37th street east, Apt. #901, Tuscaloosa lying behind #57 Valley Hills.

Preliminary indications revealed that the victim had been struck by gunfire once in the right wrist and also once in the chest.

Witnesses indicated that the victim had engaged in a heated argument with the following suspect: Shafurs Lavar Bonner, B/M, of 3212 22nd st., Apt. #42-B, Tuscaloosa. The suspect allegedly pulled a small handgun and fired several shots at the victim and immediately left the scene.

The suspect is still at large. The case is currently under investigation by the Metro homicide unit.
