Jeffco Sheriff's Deputy Injured in Walker Co. Crash

The crash happened shortly before 10:00pm on US Highway 78 near the Warrior River Bridge. A sheriff's department spokesman says the deputy's car was hit by a pickup truck pulled onto 78 from Sipsey Road.
The deputy's car went off the road, and the deputy was taken to UAB Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A pregnant passenger in the pickup truck was also taken to UAB but the sheriff's department says she appeared to be okay.
