Chalkville - Vandals burned a church van in Chalkville, and tried to start two others on fire early Sunday morning.
Jefferson County sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a vehicle fire at the Mtn. View Baptist Church on Chalkville Mtn. Road and found the burned van.
Police say the vandals appear to have placed fireworks starter sticks in the front seat of the van to start the fire. The two other vans had socks hanging out of the gas tanks.
The deputies say it looked like the socks had been set on fire, but the fire went out before damaging the vans.
The suspects also broke the windows on a church Bluebird Bus.
Deputies want you to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department if you have any information about the vandalism. The number is (205) 325-1450.
