Authorities are trying to determine what killed a 24-year-old Army soldier who was found dead just days after arriving home in Alabama on leave.
Marshall County Coroner Marlon Killion said Army Spec. Toney L. Goble II was found dead in bed Friday morning at a home in Guntersville.
The cause of death wasn't determined immediately. An autopsy was performed, but the results may not be available for days.
Goble wrote in an online profile of visiting home after serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan. A chemical operations specialist with the 12th Chemical Co., he was most recently based in southern Germany.
