He goes by the name "Cowboy", but his real name is Matthew Scott McClellan, and now Tuscaloosa detectives are calling him a person of interest in the murder of 69 year old David Turner. A neighbor found the man dead inside his Alberta area apartment early Tuesday morning.
Detectives have issued an alert hoping to locate McClellan, and the victim's pick up truck, which neighbors noticed had been missing since Sunday morning. Detectives believe "Cowboy" could be or has been in the truck.
The vehicle is an early 1970's light blue ,Chevrolet or GMC with white over the cab of the truck. It has several areas of rust with a tailgate held in place with a rope. The truck may have a Hale County plate 35A045N.

Funeral arrangements have not been made as Turner's body is still in the custody of the the Department of Forensics,and according neighbors, the family has indicated Turner had no insurance.
