Mozilla is making it easier to take Firefox with you. It's unveiled a new version of Firefox 3 that is deigned to be placed on a flash drive. It allows you to take your bookmarks and settings with you, and leaves no temp files behind on the host computer.
Airlines are experimenting with sending tickets and boarding passes to passengers' cell phones. It would save the airlines time and money- and may make it easier for people to get through airports and onto planes. It would also allow companies partnered with airlines to send advertisements to the phones.
A research group now says global computer usage has topped one billion. That doesn't count computers in storage, being built, or being shipped- only active computers. The group estimes the world will hit two billion computers in use by 2014.
