Hoover City Council Weighs In

Next week, the Jefferson County Commission will decide whether to rezone the Douglas Farms plot. Polo Trace residents are praying that won't happen, and if the Hoover City Council can help it.. it won't. The land in question sits in Jefferson County- surrounded by Hoover on all sides. Some homeowners say the development will be too dense and add to already troublesome traffic. The City of Hoover plans to present commissioners with a resolution echoing the residents' opposition.
"There's gone be 2000 extra cars probably on patton chapel road," says Sondra Smaha, "and you can't get out on Patton Chapel now."
That vote takes place next Tuesday morning at the Jefferson County Commission meeting.
