Gunshots were fired at two Shelby County sheriff's deputies late last night when they attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant on a woman wanted for violating probation.
According to Sheriff Chris Curry, the deputies were not injured. He said it happened around 11 p.m. outside a residence in Alabaster.
Curry said the fracas started after deputies located 43-year-old Lisa Connor Williams and were escorting her to a patrol car. He said a male at the residence became disruptive and fired at least three shots at the deputies.
Curry said the deputies took cover and Lisa Williams fled on foot. She was captured early today.
The alleged shooter, 19-year-old Danniel Raynard Williams, was arrested by Alabaster police.
The sheriff said the weapon was not found, but the search continues.
