Homicide #28: Was discovered on Monday, May 12, 2008, at approximately 9:02 p.m., at 4930 Richard Arrington Jr., Boulevard (Jerry’s Quick Stop).

The victim has been identified as 29 year old Michael Kissi of Birmingham, Alabama.

Officers from the South Precinct responded to the incident location to investigate a report of a person shot.   Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim being treated by paramedics for an apparent gunshot wound.  Paramedics transported the victim to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim may have been shot in the 4600 block of 14th Avenue North.

There have been no arrests or charges filed in the case.
