An Army veteran has been arrested on charges that he slipped classified documents about nuclear weapons to an employee of the Israeli Consulate in New York. The arrest of Ben-ami Kadish is being detailed Tuesday by the U.S. attorney in Manhattan and FBI (
web) officials. They allege in a criminal complaint that Kadish committed the crimes from 1979 through 1985 when he was a mechanical engineer at an Army research and development center in Dover, N.J.
Investigators believe Kadish took home classified documents several times and let the Israeli government worker photograph them in Kadish's basement.

The documents included information about nuclear weapons, a modified version of an F-15 fighter jet and the Patriot missile defense system.
