Adamsville, AL - No classes Monday at Minor High School due to a power outage that lasted all day. The halls went dark at 8AM after a vehicle struck a pole on Highway 78. It took alabama power until 2:20 that afternoon to restore power because crews had to reconstruct a new pole and lines. Teachers kept students in homeroom all day. Sack lunches were brought in from Bottenfield Middle School.
"They were in their homeroom, and they behaved very well," says Principal David Pike. "I've got to be complimentary of the students."
Classes resume today as usual.
