Double Springs - ABC 33/40 has just learned that the Double Springs fire department chief, Mike Gilbreath, has been killed.  State Troopers confirm that around 6:30 this morning Mr. Gilbreath was removing a tree from County Road 25.  A car struck him and killed him.  Mike Gilbreath is also an employee of the Winston County Roads Department.
