Ashland, AL - It was a surprise homecoming for National Guard Troop 128. After being deployed to Iraq
(web | news) about six months ago, they never expected the order to come home after a brief tour of duty. Some of the soliders said they think it's because the area where they were stationed near Baghdad has grown more stable.
More than seventy men and woman are in Troop 128. Family and friends gathered at the Ashland National Guard Armory to welcome the troop back to Alabama on Thursday.
