The Irondale city council will vote again Tuesday to make any "non-user" sewer fee illegal. This, after two special masters recommended charging a fee to non-sewer users in Jefferson County to help pay down the $3.2 billion sewer debt.
The recommendation did not go over well with residents in Irondale. Two-thirds of the houses there are not hooked up to county sewer. Because the vote was not unanimous, the council must vote again. ABC 33/40 will have the results of the vote, when it happens.
