Tuscaloosa, AL - A woman, who didn't want to give her name says she believes she saw the man who killed April Barger. The 29-year old woman's body was found outside her mobile home on Buttermilk Road Saturday night. A witness who gave a description of the suspect to police talked with reporter Isaiah Harper. She says she was walking up the hill directly across from the scene when suddenly she heard gunfire and could see the sparks. "I was terrified because the gunshots - I though they were coming toward me I guess because they were fired so rapidly," the witness says. She says after the shooting she saw a bald-black man with a red shirt running and getting into a burgundy car parked in the driveway next to Barger's home. She says the car sped off and that's when she heard Barger's roommate come out and scream "Oh, my God...and I said to myself then -- that guy just kiled somebody, " the witness told ABC 33/40. She says she gave her decription to police. Police are not releasing many details about the case, but say they can't completely rule out it was a random shooting but that all evidence so far suggests Barger was specifically targeted and knew her attacker. Captain Lloyd Baker with Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide says , "We believe the suspect did this out of anger." Baker says the suspect is probably expressing his anger to someone. If you have any information about the shooting you're asked to call Tuscaloosa Sherriff's Office or crimestoppers. The witness tells abc 33-40 she's a little frightened that the suspect hasn't been caught, but she says "I'm glad I did witness it because I want the person who [did] it caught."
