A MIX OF SUN AND SEVERE STORMS: The weather will be on the move for the next several days, which is not unusual at all for this time of year. In fact, we are getting closer and closer to the month of March which may be the most action-packed month of the year in most years, but not always. Our trend this year, however, has been a very active one. We have had some real powerful and scary tornadoes within the last year. We hope that does not happen again and the law of averages would say it would be a long time down the road, yet it could be much sooner than that.
BACK TO THE PRESENT: The weather has been very quiet across Alabama today. The Storm Prediction Center posted a Slight Risk of severe weather for about the north one-third of the state and that goes for tonight also. So far today, we have not had any tornado watches and no warnings in Alabama. In fact, the only two warnings posted so far this afternoon was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning from the NWS in Tallahassee.
THURSDAY: According to all indications, much of Thursday will be decent with high temperatures reaching the unseasonable mid 70s. We don't believe many thunderstorms will develop during the day. It is looking more and more like the most dangerous time for severe weather will be Thursday night into early Friday morning. This includes the possibility of some severe thunderstorms and even a few tornadoes.

Mostly cloudy and warmer. A few storms this evening; some could be severe.

Partly sunny and unseasonably warm. A few thunderstorms, but they will become numerous Thursday night and some severe.

Cooler with morning showers continuing. Clear and colder Friday night.
