[CDATA[Share your sweet experience with your little ones!]]

<fulltext>[CDATA[I know Mother's day is past, however I'm still basking in the glow of the morning. First I heard rustling. Then I peeked through my sleepy eyelids to see my youngest son sitting on a bucket in my bedroom.
"Mom, you're not going anywhere!" he said with determination. "I'm here to guard you. What ever you do, do not go through that door!"
"Ok I surrender!" I said as I let my head fall back onto my pillow. Mother's Day was great. I didn't have to spring from the bed to decide what to make my sleepy heads. No on this day the tide had turned. My other two sons were apparently putting a breakfast together.
A knock came to the door. My youngest son left the guard post for a few minutes to return with a towel to cover my eyes. He said, " We'll be dining outside thismornin ma'am." He had somehow aquired an English accent.
So it was on with the towel to cover my eyes. He said, " Whatever you do, do not look in there." He meant don't look in the kitchen. I could only imagine the broken egg shells that might have been tossed about. I gladly put the towel to my eyes. He escorted me outside to our picnic table. A beautiful table had been set. Hot dog buns with melted cheese on them was the featured recipe of the day. Some even had a slice of bacon on them. There was orange juice and even a cup of coffee! Just like any fancy restaurant it also had a pitcher of water. Only the pitcher was my blender. But it worked.
"Wow! I said, what a beautiful setting! This is the best Mother's day yet." As I beamed I noticed two of the kitchen windows were open. Puzzled, I asked, "Why are our kitchen windows open?"
They matter of factly said, "To let the smoke out!"
Now please share your favorite parenting story... remember life is good... and you are surrounded by blessings!]]</fulltext>

What an inspiration you are to all of us. May God continue to keep you and your family in His loving care. I have a wonderful son, Randall. The only problem is he lives in Portland, Oregon which means I do not see him very often maybe once every 2 years. I miss him terribly! But this Mother's Day was absolutely wonderful. He sent a text message that started off - I remember birthday parties at Skateworld and Showbiz that everybody enjoyed, I remember nascar driving (from Bessemer to his school, Southminister) and I thought you were the best driver ever, I remember you taking me to see Kiss how cool was that. I remember! I will always remember! These memories will be with him always and I am very grateful.

My Mother's Day story is just so sweet, I had to share! My precious little one, a 7 year old boy named Rudy, was really upset on Mother's Day afternoon. When I questioned him, he began to sniffle and cry and proceeded to let me know the reason was because he did not have a gift for me! This wonderful little miracle (we tried 16 years to get pregnant) was worried and upset that he didn't have a "real" gift for me, bought from the store. He had made me the most beautiful card, along with two, yes, two letters! He also made me a lovely tote for my Bible in Sunday school class. My first statement to this teary-eyed wonder was, "sweet one, YOU are MY Mother's Day gift!" That was not an acceptable answer! I then reminded Rudy of all the wonderful things he'd given me that morning, to which he replied, "yeah, but I didn't buy you anything, mom!" I told him that the gifts he'd made for me were far more precious than anything he could ever buy for me. He was somewhat pacified, until later that evening...I had told my husband we needed milk, and Rudy perked up at the news...he told his dad they were going to the store to get the milk, and while they were there he was going to buy me a gift! His only problem was what could he possibly get me at the Piggly Wiggly!! I told him they have flowers, and I love flowers...so he liked that idea...he brought me a beautiful plant for my sunporch, and I was happy! That night when I tucked him in, he told me with tears in his eyes how sorry he was that he didn't buy me something for Mother's Day...when I reminded him once again of everything...but, mostly the fact that HE is my greatest gift, he said, "yeah, mom, a plant compared to a Target gift card! Target is one of your favorite stores!" He was upset because my husband gave me the gift card, and he could ONLY give me the plant! Ya know, God is so good! All the time! What a sweet blessing my miracle boy is for me and everyone who knows him! My prayers are with you, Brenda....trusting in Him with and for you.

I'm blessed to have a lot of strong hair. Read the previous blog... It will tell you how we struggled to come up with a color that was close to my former color. The hair came back a different texture and color. But it's a blessing and I'll take it! Dollie I don't mind you asking a bit. I believe the Lord has me here to serve and help my sisters and brothers along the way. So ask away! Blessings, Brenda:)

Brenda, I won't to ask you a question, and really don't know how to go about it. I saw you tonight on the news and you look so good. Brenda I was wondering if your hair has growed back or if that is a wig you are wearing. The reason I ask that, is my sister has had to be on some medicine that has made her hair come out. It has growed back fairly good, but no one will put a color on it for her, and if that is your hair you must not have had any problem with a color bothering it or making it come out again. I hope you don't mind me asking you this, but it would help my sister a lot. Thank you Dollie Young dcydoll@bellsouth.net

The eldest (just turned 9) did the actual cooking, there was bacon(half cooked) scrambled eggs with pieces of shell in it, and canned biscuits that was brown on the out side but not quiet done on the inside and jelly. I made myself eat the crunchy eggs part of the biscuit that was done with the jelly, and snuck the bacon into my napkin. And then raved about what a wonderful meal and the best mother's day it was. They were all so proud. And I am so proud of them all. Isn't it wonderful to be a mother
