Free Wigs and grabbing great deals!

Check out our podcast from the American Cancer Society's free wig closet.  In addition to free wigs also offer free bras to breast cancer survivors.  They offer free prosthetics too!

Speaking of free, have you seen all the great deals out there?  I recently had to do a little shopping with my hubby Doug Bell.  He's getting ready for the Big 12 Basketball Tourney.  He'll be hosting the event.  We went in search of a new shirt and tie for the big event.  We've seen the ads about the great sales out now.  We were amazed at the percentage off on suits and shirts... It seems like everything is half off, two for one or the price is slashed.

In the last week I've noticed financial experts who once told us to save, save, save... are now encouraging us to buy, buy, buy!  But they are also reminding us not to use credit for these purchases.  With spring weather here, there seems to be new hope the economy will turn around and perhaps even blossom for us.  Stay in the fight and don't give up!   Who knows, maybe you'll even see some of the 90 % off sales and get something new for spring!

Keep the faith, keep your hope and keep on putting one foot in front of the other.  I talked to a financial expert who is expecting next the quarter to be better!

Romans 8:28 "For those who hope in the Lord, all things work together for good."

God Bless,

 Brenda

I JUST HAD A RIGHT MASTECTOMY ON FEB 16 AND NOW STARTED MY CHEMO MARCH 26TH . I WAS TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM, AL FOR THE FREE WIG PROGRAM. CAN YOU HELP ? kATE WOODLAND , AL

Brenda Ladun
Pat, I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, the American Cancer Society near you will take them. The American Cancer Society in Birmingham is on Ireland way near Highland Avenue. They ask that the wigs be cleaned. Most local wig shops will wash them for a small fee. Thanks for thinking of others! God Bless, Brenda

Brenda,

The world lost another great woman to breast cancer this week. Carolyn Hollinghead fought a good battle but is now with Jesus. She posted a comment to you a while back. Let's keep praying to find a cure.
